Henry commenced his legal career as public prosecutor in Dundee, Kwazulu-Natal during December 1996. Thereafter, he fulfilled prosecutorial duties in various courts in Gauteng until 1991 when he was appointed as magistrate. He held the position for eight years, serving in both Criminal and Civil Magistrates’ Courts. In the last nine months of service, he acted as relief Regional Court magistrate in the Department of Justice.
Henry served pupillage with Advocate J Both SC and was admitted to the Johannesburg Bar in 1999.
Specialising in criminal law, he acted in many Magistrate’s Court civil trials. In the years to follow, he honed his practice, focusing on arbitration forums and civil litigation in the High Courts.
Areas of practice include contractual and company law in commercial environments, as well as counsel in labour, immigration and family law.
