Luyanda graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) with an LLB in 2016. She completed her Pupillage in 2017 and became a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in December 2017.
Luyanda also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Risk, Compliance and Governance from Wits and a Postgraduate Diploma in Drafting and Interpretation of Contracts from the University of Johannesburg. She is currently enrolled for the Postgraduate Diploma in Pension Funds Law at Wits.
She has also obtained a Certificate of Accredited Mediator after completing a Conflict Dynamics
40 - hour Commercial Mediator Skills Training Course in November 2018.
Her practice is a general civil litigation and commercial practice and her areas of interest include Financial Services Regulatory Law, Pensions Law and Medical Schemes Law.
She has appeared at the Financial Services Tribunal, the Council for Medical Schemes Tribunal and Appeal Board, the various Divisions of the High Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court.
Luyanda is appointed as an Alternate Independent Trustee to a large Commercial Umbrella Fund and as a Section 26 Trustee to various pension funds, in terms of the Pension Funds Act, by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
