Biography
Gerhard was admitted as an attorney in 1997 and practised in Johannesburg, specialising in civil and commercial litigation. In 2001 he accepted a position as legal advisor to a group of companies in the financial services industry, focussing primarily on aspects relating to collective investment schemes. Gerhard was called to the Bar in 2008 and he became a member of the Protea Group after completing his pupillage in 2009.
