Biography
Tumisang’s background is rooted in the field of Intellectual Property Law with over 20 years’ experience.
He worked for Spoor and Fischer Attorneys as a clerk based at the South African Patent and Trademarks Office (SAPTO), then became a Trademarks Searcher with CIPRO before becoming a Senior Trademarks Examiner with CIPC. He also was an Investigator for the Minister of the Department of Trade and Industry pursuant to the Merchandise marks Act, where he successfully protected the abuse of the FIFA World Cup 2010 event and was responsible for the prohibition of the abuse of Rooibos, Moses Mabida Stadium, British and Irish Lions among others.
